Bishan Park Secondary School - Oeuvre IV
On 4 July, I have attended Bishan Park Secondary School' performance - Oeuvre IV. It's a performance to showcase their budding talents from Performing Arts group - the Band, Choir and Dance.

I have enjoyed myself throughout the entire 135mins - concert. The only not - so - good - part was a brunch of boys who were seated behind me - kept on talking, commenting and laughing like mad. There're moments I just wished that the sound of trumpets or drums could drown their silly giggles! I was trying to hold my camphone still to record and enjoy the music. BUT THEY'RE SO IRRITATING! So hope you don't feel giddy after watching the videos :)

Anyway, all the perforamances brought back all the fond memories of my secondary school days. :) I'm glad that my time was well spent on this Friday's evening in the Singapore Conference's Hall.

Here're the videos on Choir and Band's performances.

All the nights were switched off . There's an image of the church at the background. The Choir walked in with a candle. Here comes .. Ave Maria. My personal favourite!

My camphone suddenly went dead! No more recording of "All Things Bright and Beautiful"!

Then I realised that no more battery left and must save for the songs performed by Choir after the Interval ....

Dance performed "J.U.M.P".

Then Choir's "Gao Shan Qing".

Then suddenly my camphone LOW BATT AND SWITCHED OFF BY ITSELF!

DUH!!!

So you couldn't get to hear the "Keindahan Taaman", Rainstorm and "When you Believe" from Choir.

No videos on "To Challenge the skies and the heaven", "I only care about you" and "Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End".

My personal favourites are "I only care about you". It's a song by Teresa Tang. When the Band played the song, I could see the audiences trying to sing along when the Band played, including me! :) The music was so ... moving!

When the Band played "Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End", it was like I were suddenly brought into the movie theatre watching "At World's end"! It sounds so real and impactful! Remember there's one scene from the movie whereby all the pirates were marching under the sea and they're singing? Band did likewise before they played the music! They sang in very low voice - mimicking the pirates. Every beat was crisp and accurate and played to the perfection (most of the time). No wonder they obtained a Silver in SYF 2007.

The concert ended at 9.45pm.

Choir, wish that you're there to watch this concert.

cheers,
mdmJ
