Hi all,

thanks for all your posts and for the encouraging comments about the choir and teachers. You've all worked very hard too and deserve to be commended. I'd just want you to know that you have the talent and the gift of song within you, just don't be too self-conscious when you're on stage and just go ahead and enjoy yourself.

For the next few rehearsals leading up to your speech day, remember to stand tall and not fidget on stage. Always smile (everything is forgiveable when you smile)! Do not be afraid of the microphones, they are your friends, they can help you, so always look upwards and sing upwards into the mikes. In fact you should sing past the mikes, imagine a little deaf old man sitting at the far end of the hall and sing to that little man.

Remember you should never touch your face or hair or adjust your uniform or scratch you body. People are watching. Just be still and look pretty. OPEN YOUR MOUTHS AND BREATHE, BREATHE, BREATHE. ALL THE TIME and ALL THE WAY. To inspire you, I've attached a little clip of a choir below. Observe their posture and mouth shape and the way they behave on stage. Have fun and HUGZ!
